Betadecimal is a futuristic journey into sci-fi soundscapes. This EP contains four powerful techno tracks. Continues the exploration of heavier sounds with more textures and deep sub bass, like the previous EP Presolar pabloawad.bandcamp.com/album/presolar.
The lead synth on Betadecimal was created with Operator and Erosion. The pad was made with Simpler and the wonderful MSE synth from Max for Cats. In Isocathode I did the bass line with Serum and the lead with Wavetable. Polydec, the heaviest track from the EP, features sounds created with Wavetable. In Maxent, the softest track, the pad of the break was made with Wavetable and iZotope Iris 2.
With vocals and production work that are a cross between Joy Division and Nine Inch Nails, this album is a solid chunk of doom -- the delicious kind where you know things are bleak but the massive hoofbeat drum patterns are drowning out everything that's ugly and making it vital again. Fave instrumental: the insane build ups in Bleached Whales. Fave song: the melody of The Way Out. Lionel Valdellon (Acid42)
